growing up [not a fan]

meet the love of my life (besides my husband of course) my '99 5.7 ss camaro. my baby.

everyone that knows me knows that i am totally and completely head over heels in love with my car.

it is the SEXIEST camaro ever made. hands down.

the phrase "when you turn your car on, does it return the favor?" has never rang more true than with this car. the sexiest most perfect sounding engine ever made.

together we learned how to drag race, how to install sound systems, how to do body work, how to paint a car, how to install a rack and pinion, how to completely redo power steering, how to replace an alternator, and how to get a lot of funny looks.

nothing fixed a bad day better than cruising down a wide open street together or drifting on the farm roads outside of town.

this car inspired me to be an automotive major for a while and sparked my absolute love for cars.

this car helped me be unique and meet lots of great people. it set me apart from every other girl at BYUI.

some of my very favorite memories have this car in them.

but the time has come for us to go our separate ways.

my baby is getting old and causing my life too much strife and i am running out of rationalizations to hold on. so i am selling my 5.7 for a 1.6. My limo tinted windows and all black leather interior for cloth seats and no cruise control. a stunningly beautiful car for a base model. all because i accidentally grew up. what a sad sad day. =/
but the parents are happy because i will now have something that doesn't run the risk of causing thousand dollar disasters at least once a month. that counts for something right?

talk to braden. he knows your EXACT situation. Except I guess he sold the camaro for a grand cherokee and then a versa, so he had an extra step in there to help. You will always miss that sexy car, but on the bright side, it is pretty nice to have something reliable. It won't turn you on and you won't get the same looks, but it also won't frustrate you or leave you stranded. There's good and bad to everything!
