sad snow day

it's snowing outside and that makes me sad.

but i came home, got on my computer and my dog travis came up to my feet 

scrambling and trying with all his might to fit between my legs and the desk 

so he could sit in my lap. 

that made the snow not so terrible.

summer time

this summer has been one for the books for sure.

full of dirt bike riding, beach tips, lake trips, photoshoots, 

weddings, editing, family time, shopping, and sunshine.

we have one more week that we are spending in palm springs 

[celebrating our one year. yeeeah baby.]

and then it's back to rexburg for school.

it's been real summer.

we will miss you.

birthdays & randomness

hey everyone!

i hope you are having a beautiful last day of august.

speaking of which.. it's my mom's birthday today!!

just in case you didn't know.. birthdays are my all time favorite days of the year.

i love celebrating the people i love.

and my mom is pretty spectacular so i am glad there is a whole day just for her

and that i get to be here to celebrate with her.

travis is such a good sport and my husband makes the greatest signs

my mom took some pictures of my husband and me a few days ago.

i am kinda in love with them.

another reason why i love my husband..

he is totally talented behind the camera.

i'm not going to lie.. it is a little strange to see pictures of myself

because i am rarely in them being the photographer and all.

[unless i am around my awesomely talented photographer mother..

then that's totally a different story]

but he has been practicing tons and learning lots

and he has come a long way and is pretty dang amazing.

and he's got this funky perspective that i am totally digging.

think i can convince him to be my second shooter?
